Scout Group - We are provide weekly sessions and activities designed to promote the physical, intellectual, spiritual and social development of young people aged between 6 and 25 with special emphasis on outdoor activities.
The group aims to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their communities. This is achieved by providing a platform for adventurous training and development based on the scout promise and law, and guided by adult leadership.

Provide scouting activities for young people in and around Ely, Cambs
To fulfil the aim of The Scout Association in promoting the development of young people as individuals, responsible citizens and members of their communities by providing training during meetings, camps and adventurous activities. The meetings and camps are run by Volunteers and the activities are funded by direct charges and fund raising activities of the Group Trustee Board.
Education and training of local young people in the Scouting Movement.
We provide Scouting for approximately 90 boys and girls in 3 sections - Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.We take part in many District Scouting events, including St Georges Day Parade, Beaver Rambleabout, Sixers and Seconders Camp and football and swimming tournaments. We also organise our own Group camps and activities.
Scout GroupThe Group's aim, in common with that of the Scout Association, is the physical, mental and spiritual development of young people. The Group meets the Charity Commission's public benefit criteria under both the advancement of education and the advancement of citizenship or community development headings.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the 1st Eye Scout Group gives young people of Eye and the surrounding area the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure whilst developing the skills they need to succeed.
