Operates charity shop in Worthing. Organises annual event known as "Worthing Festival", Christmas street collections for donations to local causes. 1-2 Car Boot sales during each year. Annual Worthing seafront event "Tide Of Life" on 5 November for children.

Promotion of Concerts

Worthing Samaritans aims to enable anyone experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those that may be at risk of suicide, to receive confidential emotional support at any time of the day or night. We support people across the UK who contact us and we also work with the community and partners in the Worthing area to promote ways of improving emotional health.

Provision of orchestral performances, education and community projects nationally.

Promotion and financial support of Symphony Concerts by Worthing Symphony Orchestra and other public musical events in furtherance of its objectives to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music. Concerts could not be held for a long period due to Covid but have now resumed

Worthing Theatres & Museum

Worthing Theatres and Museum promotes arts and heritage, cultural events, the advancement of education and social inclusion in Worthing . The four venues we run are the Connaught Theatre and Studio, Pavilion Theatre, Assembly Hall and Worthing Museum and Art Gallery.

Cadets have taken part in Drill, Sailing, Pulling (rowing), Power and Canoeing Competitions. Football, Adventure Training Expeditions, .22 Shooting. Courses offered to cadets are Seamanship, Mechanical Engineering, Cook Stewards, Writer Stores.Help in the community - collecting for the Poppy Appeal, raising funds for the unit.

1. To advance the education of the public and in particular the education of the middle-aged and older people who are not in full-time gainful employment in Worthing and its surrounding locality.2. The provision of facilities for leisure time and recreational activities with the object of improving conditions of life for the above persons in the interests of their social welfare.

Activities associated with Girlguiding Uk

The provision of safe accommodation and advocacy to women and their children experiencing domestic abuse.The facilitation of peer support groups to women who have or are experiencing domestic abuse. The delivery of healthy relationship educational programmes into both primary & secondary schools.

A preschool for children from 2 years of age up to school age.Our charitable objects are to enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children through a community led group.

School disco,fairs,and school linked money raising events

Worthington PTFA supports its small village primary school through many and varied fundraising activities to ensure that the school has the best possible facilities to aid learning and development.

Training Centre for adults with learning disabilities; Operating a cafe and gift shop (open to the public); creating bespoke crafts, gifts and home decor. Students also receive training in basic literacy, housekeeping skills (eg cooking, laundry) and go outside the centre to experience public transport, shopping and social activities.

The object is the promotion of the efficiency of the armed forces of the crown by the provision and support of mess, social, sporting and other facilities for the efficiency and well-being of Servicemen and Servicewomen. Additionally the charity provides for welfare and non-sporting recreational activities organised for the benefit of military personnel and or their dependants at Worthy Down.

The Fund supports Garrison activities such as the annual Bonfire Night, Garrison Fun Day and Families Activities Week. It also supports individuals and teams in activities that provide a benefit in terms of performance and retention. The Fund also facilitates a trading account which provides a benefit to all personnel within Worthy Down and AGC personnel worldwide.

The Worthy Down Warrant Officers' & Sergreants' Mess serves to promote the efficiency of the Armed Forces of the Crown by the provision of facilities and activities for the efficiency and well-being of service personnel. The Mess fulfills its objectives by providing social, Corps and Branch specific functions. It also provides a comfortable environment for resident and visiting personnel.

TO FURTHER THE AIMS OF THE WOMENS INSTITUTE ORGANISATION
