We run a 'Food bank' which supplies emergency food to people in crisis through out our town and surrounding areas. We also run Community Fund for small grants to be given out to people in crisis.

Welfare for the aged, infirm or poor in Yeovil , Somerset and the surrounding area by the provision of hot meals for those, who either through age or infirmity, are unable to prepare meals for themselves and have no other person available to prepare one for them.

To provide facilities in the form of a Pavilion for recreational and leisure-time occupation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Yeovil and South Somerset in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants.

To provide social day care to the elderly and infirm within Yeovil through the provision of hot meals and social activities.

Yeovil Diversity Project is about bringing people together to learn about and from each other, and to work together to benefit the wider community. Our work to achieve this takes many forms; annual and monthly events, online and local campaigns, outreach programs, as well as working in collaboration with and supporting other local organisations whose aims are in line with our own.

Education and training through the Scout Association

The charity provides support to a cardiac rehabilitation programme, including exercise classes and counselling services, for all cardiac patients in the catchment area of Yeovil District Hospital. Fundraising events and private donations enable the charity to maintain and replace gym equipment for the rehabilitation unit and and to fund specialist training for the cardiac staff at YDH.

The Yeovil Lions organise annual localised events to raise funds for local and national purposes, such as the annual Beer Festival, Golf day, Quiz nights, Ladies Lunch and other fund raising events.

Build model railway layouts to the best standards possible within the Club membership; Assist members with their own modelling; Improve members' abilities and skills , especially junior members; exhibit and demonstrate to the general public; and carry out other activities to achieve the Club's objectives.

The key activities are to promote, protect, restore and create natural and constructed blue infrastructure, e.g. ponds, rivers and sustainable drainage features, to provide multiple benefits for the public and wildlife to combat climate change, deliver enhanced and resilient ecosystems and natural capital for amenity, biodiversity, educational, wellbeing, aesthetic and conservation purposes.

Yeovil ShopMobility is a scheme providing powered and manual equipment to enable people with mobility impairment to shop and get out and about. Anyone with limited mobility can use ShopMobility whether through permanent or temporary disability, illness, accident or age. This equipment is available for daily or long term hire.

The charitable purpose of the Unit is to promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme and in accordance with the principles, ethos and practices of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC).
