As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the 1st Thame Scout Group give young people of Oxfordshire the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

Grants are made to help promote the efficiency of the Regiment, for the relief in need of all past and present members of the Regiment or its predecessors and their wives and widows, and for the advancement of education in respect of the history of the Regiment.

Provision of scouting activites to young people
Scouting exists to actively engage & support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. As Scouts we are guided by our values - Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief & Co-operation. Scouting takes place when young people, in partnership with adults, work together based on thevalues of Scouting.
General Scouting acitivities.
Scouting including activities such as camping, hiking, map reading, swimming, theatre production, social development, education craft activities, environmental work.

The 1st Timperley Scout Group provides premises and equipment to facilitate scouting activities. It is a member of The Scout Association providing adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-25. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential.
Scouting activities for young people, aged 6 to 14, with an emphasis on sailing and canoeing. We encourage young people to develop self-reliance and learn new skills which will be useful to them in later life.
To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The method of achieving the Aims of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law.
Helping young people get the most out of life. There are 3 sections which are run by leaders meeting on various week day evenings. Beavers age group 6-8, Cub scouts age group 8-10 and Scouts 10 to 14. There are indoor and outdoor activities, competitions and so on at District and County levels. Camping is mainly for the cubs and scouts with the beaver cub scouts visiting on for a day.
Runs activities for boys and girls through Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, including camps, trips and badge work.
