2nd Balsall Common (Methodist) Scout Group operates one Squirrels pack, two Beaver packs, two Cub packs and two Scout packs. Each Group meets weekly in school term-time and activities are organised by leaders which allow the pack members to practice skills which result in badges being awarded. Skills acquired are varied such as swimming, IT, first aid, camping, games.

This is carried out through the provision of exciting and adventurous activities with progressive training based on the Scout Promise and Law, guided by adult leadership and the Scout Association Policy,Organisation and Rules (POR).

2nd Bracknell Scout Group exists to actively engage and support, within a positive and caring framework, the young people of our community in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society and encouraging them to become responsible adults in their own right with skills that will stand them in good stead for their future.

The Charity is a Group within the Scout Association. The Group runs four sections: beavers (ages 6 to 8), cubs (ages 8 to 11), scouts (ages 11 to 14) and explorers (15 and over).The Group owns its headquarters building, comprising meeting hall, committee rooms, kitchen and storerooms.
Scout Group
Fully participated in the principles of Scouting, outdoor and indoor activities ages 6 to 18. Additional fund raising, Annual Race Night. Group events have been very successful. The aim is to fund an equipment replacement and to look towards developing our headquarters.
We are a voluntary youth group for boys and girls aged six to eighteen following the progressive training programme of the Scout Association.
