Scouting
Operating a scout group for young people between the ages of 6 and 17 through beavers, cubs, scouts and explorer scouts for the Herne Bay area. We are based in Greenhill, Herne Bay and operate as one of a number of groups in the Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay (can, whit, bay) district scouts.
Youth Training and development as laid down by the "Policy Organisation and Rules(POR)" of the Scout association.For Beaver ,Cub Scout ,Scout and Explorers Scout Sections.(i.e. all groups)
We are based in Rye Park area of Hoddesdon. We do various scouting activities for boys and girls aged 5 3/4 to 15 years cover Beavers, Cubs and Sea Scouts.
Girl Guiding Holyhead continues to work with young girls within the guiding movement.
In accordance with the aims and objectives of the Scout Association

Oversee the running of the scout and guide hut. Monitoring and raising income and allocating to the voluntary bodies that utilise the facilities

YOUNG PEOPLE ENJOY LEARNING BY DOING, PARTICIPATE IN VARIED AND PROGRESSIVE ACTIVITIES, MAKE CHOICES FOR THEMSELVES, TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS, WORK IN GROUPS, TAKE INCREASING RESPONSIBILITY FOR OTHERS, AND TAKE PART IN ACTIVITIES OUTDOORS.
