Utilisation of Alexandra Hall to provide a range of activities to the benefit of the local community and surrounding areas
To preserve for the public the natural, artistic and cultural amenities of the town of Alford and its surroundings
The charity has assisted other local charities and small schools by providing minibus transport which enables them to access recreational facilities and advance their general education. These groups have also made use of various equipment that the charity owns, such as bouncy castle, BBQ griddle, catering equipment and outdoor games.
To benefit the residents of Alford by bringing together the residents, voluntary and other organisations in an effort to provide social welfare and leisure to improve the life of the residents. To secure the building as a community centre at the historic Alford Corn Exchange and to maintain and manage the building for activities promoted by the charity in furtherance of the above objects.
To distribute the interest from a trust as a small grant to needy people who reside in the village of Whaddon in Cambridgeshire
To make grants for environmental and social causes in the county of Suffolk with a bias towards preservation or regeneration of the built heritage, amenity and landscape of the county. Grants to social causes are either for start-up projects, or for modest on-going support to groups involved in voluntary care, education, theatre, music and youth and community projects.
Provide a facility & location for local community groups to meet. Also hall available for hire for private functions.

THE NURSERY HAS CLOSE LINKS WITH THE PRIMARY SCHOOL IN THE VILLAGE AND SESSIONS ARE OPEN TO FAMILIES IN AND AROUND WINFARTHING. WE ARE REGISTERED WITH OFSTED TO ACCEPT CHILDREN FROM AGE 2 AND IN MARCH 2009 WE WERE AWARDED A RATING OF 'GOOD'. NURSERY GRANT IS WELCOMED.
