Community Development Charities

Charity helps by provision of grants and funding for prevention and relief of poverty and preservation and protection of health by assisting Village Development Schemes of Chartable nature; Advancement of Education for the public benefit by provision of grants, and advancement of envionmental protection implementation, improvement by provision of grant and funding.

This is a small registered charity that serves the Cotswold village of Bibury. The charity was born in 1898 when several separate local charities were combined. Our main responsibility now is to preserve Bibury Village Hall, and keep it at the heart of village life. For this reason, we have adopted the working name Bibury Village Hall Trust. There is also a small welfare trust within the charity.

The charity operates in accordance with the trust deed dated 11 June 2008. The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for (a) meetings, lectures and classes and (b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation.

To provide facilities and amenities for the young, elderly and members of the community of Bickington and to raise funds for the facilities and amenities which support their activities undertaken within the Village Hall.

Provide sports field and facilities for the local community.

We provide space for those who need a large , well maintained space for whatever (legal) activities proposed. It can for meetings, play groups, dog training Gardening club talks, Parish Council,weddings ,Harvest activities and all general village activities.

Provide rooms and services for local community groups to hire

Provision of a village hall for use by the community, together with a children's play area and playing field.

To hold, preserve and maintain the natural environment of the ancient woodland known as Bicknor Wood Maidstone, so that it remains permanently as a natural woodland to preserve a valuable wildlife habitat; accessible to the local community and the wider public as a space for their use and enjoyment.

To associate with Local Authorities, voluntary organisations, clubs, groups, associations and individuals to provide Community Hall facilities with the objectives of improving the education, community spirit, fellowship and well-being of the inhabitants of Bicton Heath and the neighbourhood and by maintaining the Community Hall in a condition fit for such meetings and activities.

Purposes of physical and mental training, recreation and social, moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading and recreation rooms lectures classes and entertainments or otherwise for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Bicton on the County of Shropshire and its immediate vicinity without distinction of sex or of political religious or other opinions.

To provide the following community recreational, social, cultural and other events:These include Village School Nursery (currently running on 4 days a week), Mother and Toddler Group, Drama Society, Junior and Senior Badminton Club, WI, Rainbows, Brownies, Dog Training, Amateur Radio Club, Tai Chi. These meet on a daily/weekly basis. Also the hall is used for parties and other private events.

Provision of village hall facilities for use by the community

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Biddestone and Slaughterford and the hamlets of Hartham and Giddea Hall without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and other forms of recreation and leisure with the object of improving the conditions of life for inhabitants.

TO MAINTAIN THE VILLAGE HALL FOR THE COMMUNAL BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE VILLAGE AND IT'S SURROUNDINGS.

Our aim is to provide a big screen cinema experience for the people of Bideford and the surrounding area. We show a variety of films, including a wide range of recent releases, and also occasionally work with local community groups and independent film makers for particular events. We also work with other local charities.

To further or benefit the residents of Bierley and the surrounding area by associating together with the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary or other organisations in a common effort by providing education, training and facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation, leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for local residents.

We hold fundraisers and events which brings people together to build a fund that can then help charities and charitable activities within Highworth. We also support charities supporting the people of Highworth. KINDNESS is a value of a charity. There is so much good in Highworth, INSPIRE KINDNESS today and PAY IT FORWARD.

- Support for volunteer-ran clubs and projects including a parent and toddler group, community cycle club, pop-up shop, and gardening group.- Seasonal activities programme including low-cost day trips, social events, arts and crafts.- Grants for local people and organisations who want to improve their community.- Provide community space for use by other groups.

Big Local Trust

Advance community development and the relief of unemployment for the benefit of the public in the localities in each region specified by making distributions to the recipients to develop the capacity and skills of the members of socially and economically disadvantaged communities in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs and participate more fully in society

Adventure plays on selected playground will be provided. The charity provides creative activities such as arts/crafts photography, urban art, upcycling to textiles, painting and community space improvement, under the guidance of professional artists. Sports such as Football, Boxing, MMA, Dance Fitness to Yoga and self-defence designed to keep participants minds and bodies active and healthy.

As there were only 2 members of the Village Hall Committee remaining was decided at a Village Meeting to transfer the running of the Village Hall to Bigby Parish Council and relevant authorities have been contacted in order to do this by the Parish Clerk. so The transfer was effective from June 2008.Present activities are just the hire of the hall/hall maintenance
