The objects of the CIO are: the relief of the poor and needy in Abergavenny and surrounding areas, and any other parts of the United Kingdom or elsewhere in the in the world, or other such charitable purpose as the members of the CIO shall in duly constituted meeting direct.

Our charity is under the umbrella of the Scouting movement. Our activities are varied reaching out to young people from ages 6 upwards. Examples: camping hiking sports cooking etc.

Abergele Community Action aims to extend activities and opportunities for local people especially young people through a range of activities including foodbank and money advice as well as a youth inclusion project known as Abergele Youth Den with opportunities for education and training as well as work experience and volunteering.

Raising funds by means of Donations, Social Events and Running Tea Bar for patients&staff and then donating the money raised to Abergele Hospital for the purchase of equipment

To relieve suffering and distress amongst persons endangered by accidents or natural hazards.

Restoration, Preservation and Maintenance of the Historic Mansion and Gardens at Aberglasney to enable the public to visit as tourist attraction and so safe guard the heritage for the future.

COMMUNITY HALL

Hold a once-weekly club night from 3-30pm - 7-00pm Tuesdays, to provide a cooked meal on arrival, then social activities eg playing snooker, boccia, darts, table-tennis, plus other board games, television, painting/drawing, art activities.

Provides a convenient & vital meeting place/venue for local residents & surrounding community in a very rural area.

Financial assistance provided to residents of Abergwili, Carmarthenshire in times of crisis

Administation and letting of two almshouses

The Eisteddfod is held annually on the 2nd Saturday in the month of February

To provide a meeting place for local activity groups which include: Women's Institute, Y.F.C., Table Tennis Club, Short Mat Bowls and meetings of the Community Council ; it is used by local residents for birthday parties, receptions after funerals and other family functions. We hold an annual Christmas party for local people as well as fund-raising coffee mornings.

Performing male voice choir singing to a wide local and near local audience in the furtherance of entertainment and collecting funds for good causes.

The Charity provides accommodation for a range of community groups which covers the age range of toddlers to senior citizens. It operates two halls and a bowling green.

PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES AND EXPERIENCES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 7 TO 24 IN THE ABERKENFIG AND SURROUNDING AREAS TO ENHANCE THEIR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT IN EDUCATIONAL, RECREATIONAL, SPORTING, PHYSICAL, SOCIAL AND MORAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING; EXPERIENCING OPPORTUNITIES THEY WOULDN'T OTHERWISE RECEIVE.

We are a religious organisation governed by the Spiritualists' National Union. Our religion is based on the 7 Principles of Spiritualism.

Provide a base for a variety of community groups for sport, recreation, art and educational activities

We are a voluntary run Bilingual Playgroup registered with Early Years Wales , CIW and ESTYN. We provide excellent quality preschool care and education for 2 to 4 year old children, within the community of Aberporth and wider areas.
