ActionAid UK is part of an international federation working in 44 countries. We provide support and humanitarian assistance to people living in poverty and on the margins of survival. Working with Churches Together and Scripture Union to provide the advancement of the Christian faith within St Neots, Cambridgeshire, and surrounding areas in particular within schools or other educational establishments, by such exclusively charitable means as the Trustees shall from time to time determine and employing a part time worker to endeavour to achieve the same.

Activate Community and Education Services

Activate provide alternative education and employability skills programmes to those disengaged or at risk of becoming disengaged from education and/or employment, primarily those with disabilities.

Activate operates three levels of activities. The first is recreational activities to get children engaged and active again, these can be sports, arts and crafts in nature. The next tier of activities are skills-based, these activities include Lego engineering, circuits, and design. The final tier of activities are based around meditation and yoga to help children with mental wellbeing and stress

to promote, maintain, improve and advance the education of the general public in the arts generally and more particularly (but not limited to) dance, drama and other performing arts.

To advance life and relieve the needs of children and young people their families and people with their caring responsibilities in Rawmarsh and the surrounding areas by: Provision of recreational and leisure time activities and Providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities.

Activate's aim is to promote wellbeing for all, encouraging more activity and greater inclusion. We aim to connect communities, build partnerships, share resources, strengthen community bonds and seek to engage with all ages and abilities. We hope to enable faith 'where you are', helping people to grow fitter together, physically and spiritually.

The ACTITIVESThe project will cover the following activities Drama, film making, Traditional dancing, supporting young people in subjects they are weak at by working with children with behaviour problems, Educational day trips, Half term summer holiday activities, jewellery making, Healthy eating workshops, ICT, Sex education and facilitating their transition from Primary to Secondary schools.
