Scouting
We are a Scout Group affiliated to The Scout Association. We organise Scouting activities for our members, who live in the Goostrey area of Cheshire and deliver these through our age related sections of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
The Scout Group provides volunteers (both adults and young leaders) and facilities for local young people to enjoy the education, experiences and adventures of Scouting and Guiding both indoors and on the grounds around the Group Headquarters. Visiting Scout Groups, Guide Groups, Schools, Youth Groups and local families can book and use the facilities during the year.
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides run from our HQ. Hall & facilities hired to different groups, eg dancing and gardening plus functions for the community of Goring.

1st Gotham Scout Group aims to provide young people from the age of 6 to 18, and beyond, the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities designed to motivate and challenge them, whist having fun with their friends and peers. The section leaders and trustees are volunteers passionate about the enrichment of young people.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the Goytre Scout Group gives the young people of Penperlleni village and the surrounding area the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

The method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership. Provision of scouting activities for young people between the ages of 6 and 15
We promote the development of young people by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training based on Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership. This takes the form of various indoor and outdoor camps along with other groups locally and internationally, and also various fund raising activities, as well as day trips to a variety of educational establishments.
The 1st Great Missenden Scout Group is a non profit making charitable organisation whichworks for and with the young people in the community, encouraging them to achieve their fullphysical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, responsible citizens andmembers of their community.
To provide activities for young people between the ages of 4 and 18 years, by promoting a scheme of awards using a fun and interesting format. These involve both personal and group challenges.There are weekly meetings for different ages, run by trained volunteer adults together with helpers.Visits to places of interest, educational trips and camps are also included.
