The Zalala Foundation's activities are aimed at improving local livelihoods of Mozambicans living in the province of Zambezia through training, awareness-raising, income-generating support and the provision of essential infrastructure, including educational, water and health facilities. One of our key priorities is promoting girls 'empowerment and education at the primary and secondary level.

Our vision is a Zambia where working donkeys are free from suffering,treated with compassion and valued.Our outreach program travels to rural villages providing harness,holding workshops on harness making,modifying carts, tending wounds,providing tick and worm treatment and educating on the correct care of donkeys,we also have a drop in workshop at our base and a rescue and rehabilitation centre.

ZaRP links independent groups of 6 volunteers in the UK directly with poor rural communities in Zambia to help them improve their food production. We receive referrals through our network of schools. We deliver a bed bundle for every child in the household that requires it; this includes a brand-new Bed, Mattress, Duvet, Pillow, Bed Sheets, Pyjamas and Hygiene Kit. We work with local partners to include Food Parcels and, if needed, a school uniform. We can also mediate between families and their support services, as well as making referrals.
