Scouting.for young people
To contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. All young people aged between 6 yrs - 14 yrs from the locality of the Scout headquarters, are welcome.
We are a Scout Group operating within the Scout Association and have three uniformed Sections. The aims of the Group are to instill in our members a sense of purpose and community service by means of a structured program of activities.
THE GROUP OPERATES BEAVER, CUB AND SCOUT SECTIONS, FOR YOUNG CHILDREN AGED 6 TO 14 YEARS, OFFERING WIDE RANGE OF INDOOR AND OUTDOOR BASED ACTIVITIES.
Scouting
We work with children & young people between the ages of 4 to 14 yrs. We use our facilities for meetings and get outdoors for adventurous and community activities. We do fundraising to maintain the building and support activity costs, pay our ground rent and everyday services. We hold occasional fundraising / sponsored events to supplement our membership fees.
Scouting for young people aged 6 years to 13 years
Fund raising events have included district led events such as Bag-packing, Christmas post, and the annual Pledge Plod. Social events have included the summer barbeque and carol service. Youngsters have enjoyed numerous activities at the HQ, at Rhydd Covert and on various trips to productions and events over the last year.

The Charity is a Scout Group that provides education, training and recreation for Boys and Girls from all backgrounds and areas.
Scouting activities including outdoor activities, crafts, camping and other leisure activities.
The group promotes the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. It provides an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training guided by trained adult leadership through weekly meetings and outdoor activities.
The purpose of Scouting is to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

Progressive training for young people throughout the Scout Association programme Age groups 6-15 yrs , Boys and Girls
The Scout Association has a continuous training Programme that aims to promote the growth and development of young people from 6 -25. By working through the five training Sections, the Programme can be delivered in a way that is appropriate to the needs of the young people in each age range, and builds on what has gone before.
It provides a wide ranging programme of exciting activities for young people (6-15 years). The aim is to develop their physical, mental and social skills so that they become better future citizens.
Scouting Activities: Camping, Canoeing, Sailing, Group meetings.
