Activities include sailing, canoeing, camping, hiking and other Scouting activities.The Group is RN recognised which allows members to visit and sleep aboard RN ships, when available. We provide training in a range of water based activities that gain members RYA certificates, and British Canoe Association certificates.
Scout Group
A scout group that operates a Beaver colony, Cub pack and a Scout troop. To generate income the Scout Hut is let out to other community groups and as a venue for birthday parties for local residents.

A Young Persons Scouting Group based in the village of Monk Bretton Barnsley. The group caters for the following Scouting sections Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.The group activities cover Educational and Environmental as well as outside pursuits and away days covering all aspects of the Scouting ethos with the emphasis on fun and friendship and respect for others.
