The Charity is a Scout Group, operating in accordance with the principles of the Scout Association.
The purpose of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The 12th Dorking (Newdigate) Scout Group consists of Beavers (ages from 6 to 8), Cubs (ages 8 to 10.5) and Scouts (ages 10.5 to 14).
Enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training - crafts, practical skills, education, sport, outdoor pursuits (e.g. camps, canoeing, caving) for girls and boys aged between 7 and 13 years of age

As all Scout Groups do, our Scouts do a very varied range of activities indoor and outdoor (Sponsored Matchbox fill to Rock climbing) for their own benefit and for other peoples benefit. Having fun and raising money or goods, for other good causes worldwide.

The instruction of boys and girls up to the age of 14 of all classes in the principles of discipline, loyalty and good citizenship.We provide the opportunity for both girls and boys up to the age of 14 in Kings Lynn to enjoy the varied activities of the scouting movement.

Scout group activities include: camps & trips, various activities at HQ: arts & crafts, physical activity, social guidance, towards obtaining badges for various levels of scouting fundraising also undertake for other charities.
Scouting Activities
Scouting activities for young people between 6 and 15 years old in the Ruislip area. The children are split into three sections and participate in age appropriate fun and adventurous activities to promote confidence, learn new skills and become responsible members of the community.
Provides youth development through outdoor activities, life skills training, and community engagement. Fosters teamwork, leadership, and citizenship.
Scouting's mission is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law. The aim is to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.
Scouting Activities run mainly through 6 separate section meetings each week.
