Scouting activities as set out in POR
As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the 3rd East Kirkby Scout Group give young people of Kirkby in Ashfield and surrounding areas, the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.
3rd Eastwood (St Mary's) Scout Group provides activities for boys and girls in the Beavers (6 yrs - 8 yrs), cubs (8 yrs - 10 1/2 yrs) and scouts (10 1/2 yrs - 14 yrs). These activities are aimed at encouraging social and life skills: independence, initiative, leadership and survival. They attend camps (e.g. canoeing) where they utilise these skills.
Leasing and upkeep of Hall (under HQ name)Running Explorer, Scout, Cub and Beaver troop: General weekly activities plus camps.
Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. 3rd Farnborough Scout Group meets this objective through its weekly Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts meetings and through additional events organised by the Group, District, and County teams.
Various activities - outdoor, community based, fund raising, educational and developmental.
The 3rd Gainsborough Scout Group operates to the Scout Associations Policy Organisation and Rules. This allows the Group to provide spiritual and educational support to young people. The Leaders in the Group all undertake training based on the Scout Association rules and are all CRB checked.
Open to all young people age between 6yrs and 25yrs, we have an active programme to help all young people to develop their full potential, becoming the citizens of tomorrow.

The method of achieving the aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training
Being part of the Scouting Association, the 3rd Harpenden Scout Group provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-25. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential.
