The principal activity of the charity is to maintain and protect The Marquess of Anglesey's Column and its surroundings for the benefit of the local community and visitors to Anglesey.

Anglian Community Trust is a charity that provides funding to support community and charity projects, through one-off funding.Its aims are:To promote and protect the social, mental and physical health, welfare and wellbeing of people in the community of North East Essex and surrounding areas. The Community Centre opened in October 2009. It will be a multi purpose building and we are looking to provide a variety of sport, exercise classes, recreational (including dance classes)and educational activities - informal interest groups and more formal adult education classes.

The Charity is established for the advancement of the intellectual, social and moral welfare of the inhabitants of the Parish of Angmering by providing communal facilities and promoting community projects of a charitable nature. The Village Hall is available fore hire by any individual or organisation in accordance with the standard hiring agreement and scale of charges adopted for the year.

At the present time we applied a hall in the Stockwell Community Centre which we still waiting an answer, to reach our activities in the area as others groups such as: cultural performing, education, recreation and other leisure activities. Because stockwell studios where we was performing does not have a good conditions for our activities.

ACT serves the people of Anlaby Village, Anlaby Common, Anlaby Park and Rokeby Park (West Hull). We are working with local groups and stakeholders on projects including a community garden, to help us bring communities together and address issues affecting children, families, the lonely and isolated in this often overlooked part of Hull and East Yorkshire.
