Environment & Conservation Charities

Assistance for disability, hardship and nature conservation causes.

The Foundation makes grants to Charities to assist in projects of a Capital nature. The grants will be given to Charities operating within the West Midlands area. Support for projects of a non-capital nature will generally not be considered. If you have a project that fits within the guidelines and wish to request support please contact the trustees.

Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy is deeply committed to worldwide conservation and working together with regional non-governmental organisations and local people to inspire and develop sound community conservation and health practices.

We run services in response to community needs & enable individuals, families, local groups, voluntary bodies and statutory agencies to hold events or run activities. We started craft groups and activities that promote well-being, and Community Kids for parents & toddlers. We offer opportunities for volunteering & skill sharing whilst providing affordable, nutritious meals recycling waste food.

Allowing young people, regardless of colour, background or ability, the chance to participate in a variety of activities both water based and in a classroom environment. To encourage leadership skills, team working and tolerant behaviour in a disciplined, structured but fun environment.

The Charity owns and manages three Village Greens - Abinger Hammer, Abinger Common and Forest Green - for the purposes of public recreation.

The conservation and management of Abney Park (a 32acre memorial park, heritage chapel & woodland nature reserve) for environmental and arts education, skills training courses, museum/archive services, & cultural events. Projects include restoration of the Abney Park Chapel, arboretum, and memorials, and a new classroom and children's garden. Based in Stoke Newington, Hackney, London N16.

These are: 1) The prevention or relief of poverty, the advancement of education, the relief of sickness and preserve the health of people residing in the Philippines by the provision of grants, items and services; 2) To advance the education of the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of the natural environment; and 3) Any other object that is exclusively charitable in nature.

Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) was established by HM King Charles III, when he was The Prince of Wales, in 2004. Our aim is to transform finance to make sustainable business, business as usual.

We provide a weekly programme encouraging the development of high standards of art in photography via lectures, demonstrations, workshops and competitions. Wide range on animals to stroke and feed, animal petting pavilion, shop-selling home produce free range meat,eggs,ice cream, Cafe, plant sales, woodland walk, play area, horse rides/RDA, birthday party room hire, day care service for people with special needs, special events throughout the year i.e halloween night, xmas grotto.

Our aim is to provide a safe,stimulating and happy environment for 21/2 to 5year olds.

ACTAsia's education programmes promote kindness and compassion for animals, people and the environment among Asian societies. This holistic approach initiates gradual and sustainable change and improvement in the treatment of animals. Our UN awarded education programmes work across three sectors of society including Children, Consumers and Professionals.

Working with local hard to reach communities across the globe, Action Change manages, grows, develops and fundraises for numerous long-term programs that tackle the United Nations SDG's. Using these goals as a blueprint and working in collaboration with the communities aim to alleviate poverty, illiteracy, environmental degradation and climate change through: education; nutrition and conservation.

Running workshops and events, providing learning materials, organising work experience placements, and building online networks to develop a proactive youth conservation movement in the UK with a culture of greater awareness and participation, and in the process grow the wider involvement and support of young adults, professionally, voluntarily or financially, for conservation in the future.

The ASC Foundation supports some of the poorest communities lift themselves out of extreme poverty. We bring expertise, enthusiasm and funding assistance to support community-based initiatives focusing on four sectors, as follows: fostering health, protecting the environment, promoting education and developing local skills.

To conserve, protect, rehabilitate and improve the rivers, streams, watercourses and water impoundments of the catchments comprising the River Kennet and its tributaries including adjacent river catchments, estuarine and coastal areas.

ACTIVIES FOR YEAR 07/08 INCLUDED FLY TYING COURSE AND PLANTING OF A FRUIT AND NUT HEDGE TO PROVIDE A WILD-LIFE HABITAT AND ALSO A WILLOW ARBOUR BENCH FOR PEOPLE TO ENJOY. WE HAVE ALSO BEEN WORKING ON WALKING LEAFLETS TO PROVIDE BOTH LOCALS AND VISITORS WITH CIRCULAR ROUTES THEY MAY WISH TO TAKE THROUGH OUR COUNTRYSIDE. WE ALSO HELD A BREATHING PLACES OPEN DAY AND TOOK PART IN THE VILLAGE GALA DAY

Money is raised from fairs, bingo nights, movie nights, raffles and recycling. The money goes to Acton Park Primary School to enhance resources

The objects of the CIO are the advancement of education through operation of a heritage working farm which will provide in situ vocational courses to the general public in rural and endangered skills and crafts, and demonstrate historical agricultural practices. It will display and preserve historic buildings and equipment, promote biodiversity, and seek to enhance wellbeing through nature.
