Scout Group Providing a safe and educational environment for approximately 100 young people aged between ages 6 - 14. Term time weekly meetings to gain life skills, interact with likeminded people and experience activities they would possibly not get a chance to do. Occasional Camping.
IDENTIFYING ACTIVITIES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO REHABILITATE EX-OFFENDERS AND PREVENT CRIME THROUGH ACCESS TO, AND PARTICIPATION IN, THE ARTS AND EDUCATION PARTICULARLY IN PRISONS. ALSO FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IDENTIFYING ACTIVITIES FOR THE RELIEF OF THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES WHOSE ACCESS AND PARTICIPATION IN THE ARTS AND EDUCATION IS EXCLUDED OR RESTRICTED.
SCOUTING ACTIVITIES
The group is registered with the Scout Association and operates in the South Park area of Reigate providing activities for children aged 6-18 years old in a fun safe environment. The programme includes adventurous activities, camping and challenges to promote confidence, teamwork and leadership skills. New leaders and adult supporters always welcome.
The 14th Richmond 'Viking' Scout Boating Centre operates as a centre of excellence as part of the Scout Association, providing boating activities on the River Thames, predominantly in and around Richmond. Young people from the scout movement and other youth groups are provided with experience of boating on the tidal Thames by Scout Association qualified instructors.
