We provide fun activities for children ranging from 6 years to 14 years, this is in Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. These activities can be craft based, games based and we also go out into the community on hikes, camps and walks. The children can also work towards badges individually or as a group that helps them gain more confidence with; team work, communication and confidence.

Provision of Scouting for the children aged 6-14
1st Park Street Scout Group provides an opportunity for local residents, in particular children aged between 6 years and 14 years to join in with 'Scouting' activities. This includes helping to build valuable life skills, as well as having fun through a balanced program of activities.

1ST PETERSFIELD SCOUT GROUP SUPPORTS THE PURPOSE OF SCOUTING THROUGH THE PROVISION OF A BALANCED PROGRAMS COVERING PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL ACTIVITIES FOR BOYS AND GIRLS BETWEEN THE AGE OF 6 AND 14.
The purpose of Scouting is to support young people in their physical, mental, and social development, helping them to become responsible, active citizens and leaders who make positive contributions to their communities. Rooted in the vision of founder Robert Baden-Powell, Scouting focuses on instilling values such as duty, service, respect, and leadership.

Advancing the education of the residents through the provision of training and childcare facilities; the provision of advice, support and guidance on issues relating to childcare, parenting and education, health and the environment and the provision and maintenance of a family centre.
Plumpton Scout Group have 12 beavers and 22 scouts 10 cubs, however Training takes place over the winter and summer months ie camping skills, survival hikes, swimming, potholing, knots-lashing, DIY skills.
A scout group gives a meeting place for children and young people, to take part in various challenges, while learning to be part of a group with a uniform.
A Scout Troop including Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts from 6 years - 14 years. It's a great way for children to have fun, make friends, to widen their knowledge and encourages them to take part in new activities/experiences. They are encouraged to enjoy new adventures, experience the outdoors, interact with others, gain confidence & take part in regional and international camps.

We teach skills for life to young people in and around Pontnewydd in Cwmbran, Torfaen.These skills are taught via outdoor & adventurous activities such as camping, hiking etc.
Every week we give 6-14 1/2 year olds in the village of Pontywaun and surrounding areas the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.
