Ashford Lions serve their local community by raising funds in order to provide grants and assistance to deserving causes, or to old or young individuals, who are disadvantaged, disabled or in immediate need of help in any way, and seek our support. We also support when possible and appropriate local, National and International community service projects.
The provision of facilities for people to hire for private or public functions, activities workshops etc. Current hirers include short mat bowls, craft, fitness training, Kent County Council Day Opportunities Service, The Arts Society Canterbury, Asbestos Cancer Support group, womens institute, organ club and whist. Monthly bingo and dances.

ACP is based in the heart of Sparkbrook and was established by local residents in 1996 as a community resource offering inclusive services to all local people. We aim to improve the quality of life for people in Sparkbrook by creating opportunities for improvements to their social, physical, and economic well being, and supporting them to meet their needs and aspirations.

Provision of community halls and playing field and other recreational facilities for the benefit of the residents of Ashington and the local community.
AVAEI is a local charity with over 150 members using its facilities, and many more visit us for social and sporting events. Indoor facilities include snooker, darts, table games, tv, and refreshments. Outdoor activities include workshops and a community garden. We hold monthly coffee mornings, regular social events, run excursions and welcome other groups wanting to use our extended Activity Room.
Undertakes a programme of activities aimed at women in the local community; supports community activities. Maintains contact with members and their families, other links with the County and National Federations of the Womens Institute. Promotes life-long learning
The object of the Foundation shall be the provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Ashleworth and the neighbourhood without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving conditions of life.

The village hall is available for the use of all village residents and to people outside the village. Currently it is let on a regular basis for dancing classes, yoga classes, WI meets. We also organise entertainment such as music, theatre and other items of interest. The facility is available 7 days per week.

Management of Village Hall for the benefit of the community
Religious fellowship is provided at four national gatherings during the year, open to members and non-members. Our property in Burngreave, Sheffield, is being renovated, both the communal areas on the ground floor and the residential first floor, but programmes of biblical and interfaith study and discussion are being held in local groups around the country, currently using Zoom.
