Aberthin Village Hall is of local historic interest, being the second oldest Weslian Chapel in Glamorgan. Apart from preserving the fabric of this historic building, it is a centre for Aberthin Village activities with both organised events and private hiring. Amongst others, a children's playgroup meets daily in the Hall, and it is used on 2 Sundays per month for a village religious service.
1) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Abertysswg area by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation.2) To establish and secure the establishment of a Community Centre for the activities promoted as above.
THE PRINCIPAL AIM OF THE ABERYSTWYTH SILVER BAND IS TO SUPPORT LOCAL TOURISM, CIVIC DUTY AND CHARITY FUND-RAISING EVENTS THROUGH THE MEDIA OF MUSIC. IT PERFORMS IN ASSOCIATION WITH LOCAL CHORAL SOCIETIES IN PARTICULAR TO PROMOTE THIS AIM.
Carrying out activities in the Bakossi region of Cameroon. Working with orphanages, schools and hospitals in this local community.The organisation also spent a lot time this financial year carrying out research in the Bakossi region and looking at what can be done in the area, with the use of a few volunteers and working with other Bakossi cultural groups within the U.K and in the Diaspora.

To provide the facilities of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Abington Pigotts andothers in the local area
The main activity is to administer and monitor the Village Institute providing facilities for the community it serves through the groups and individuals that regularly use the premises and to encourage new groups and other usage. The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit and always keep this in mind when making decisions.
To promote the benefit of residents of Abney and the neighbourhood, by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation primarily by establishing and maintaining a community centre.
To run the community centre for the benefit of the whole community of Abram and to to establish, promote, equip, organise,maintain, manage and administer a centre for community services of any and all description. To provide facilities for people of all ages and to provide guidance and counselling on all manner of subjects and to afford accommodation for meetings and gatherings of all description.
Provides the uses of the hall for the benefit for the young and old. I.E. meetings, art, dancing, sports, weddings, birthdays, christenings, keep fit and funerals.

Management of the Abshot Community Centre
Maintains the 16th Century school building left to the village by Mrs Jane Leeson's will of 1642.Now used as the village hall.
Hold prayer meetings, children afternoon classes, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, producing and/or distributing material to enlighten and educate people about Islam, promoting understanding and tolerance within the community and society.
Provide a meeting place for small rural community , e.g. open meetings, parish council and church bodies, social events both private and public, venue for elections.... etc.
