Abbeyfield An Lac Community (AAC) provides supported housing for persons of Vietnamese or Asian origin who are suffering from the disabilities of old age, or otherwise in need of care. It operates An Lac House, established in Cambridge in 1997, with 10 single en-suite rooms for residents. AAC also runs a free day centre, and organises cultural and religious events for the local community.
The Abbeyfield Braintree Bocking and Felsted Society Limited is a charitable company registered social housing provider. The Society operates two very sheltered housing schemes, an extra care scheme and a retirement village, providing accommodation, care and companionship for older people who chose not to live alone.

Providing low cost accommodation for active elderly persons
The Society's primary activity is to provide care and support to older people through the provision of residential care services at its site in Silverdale, Lancashire, plus a retirement living complex and a supported living unit, also on site. These services are open to all older people in need regardless of their mental or physical frailty and include people with dementia and end of life care.
The provision of sheltered housing for elderly people
Abbeyfield Tamar Extra Care Society provides residential care for the elderly and infirm persons.
Property management of housing and the provision of care and support needs (within some regulated services with the CQC) for the over 55s.

THE SOCIETY HAS 3 RESIDENTIAL CARE HOMES FOR OLDER PEOPLE IN FARNHAM, SURREY, 1 OF WHICH HAS A NURSING WING. IN ADDITION, IT HAS A RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME IN EACH OF READING, OXTED & DORKING. IT ALSO OPERATES A SHELTERED HOME IN GUILDFORD, SURREY. FINALLY, THE SOCIETY OPERATES A HOME CARE SERVICE FROM FARNHAM TO HELP OLDER PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY.
THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BASIS OFFAITH PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY WITHIN COLCHESTER AND THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBOURHOOD; AND SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS SHALL, IN THE OPINION OF THE CHARITY TRUSTEES, PUT INTO PRACTICE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BASIS OF FAITH.
Playgroup for children.
Abbeytown Juniors FC have successfully ran 17 junior football teams for the benefit of the local community. All teams are lead by volunteers, who deliver weekly training sessions and organise games for each team in the local leagues. The committee are currently fundraising to develop and improve our facilities, which will include drainage and building work.
PROVIDE LOCAL PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN WITH A VARIED AND INTERESTING SELECTION OF EDUCATIONAL & PLAY ACTIVITIES
Our mission is to raise awareness and contribute much needed research funding for DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) brain cancer. We also aim to provide a useful resource and support for parents who receive this diagnosis for their child including help with fundraising to access possible treatments.
Abbie's Fund provide memory boxes and keepsakes free of charge to families in the East Yorkshire area of the UK but primarily to families who lose babies through stillbirth or neonatal death at Hull Royal Infirmary's Women & Children's Hospital. We raise funds through the organisation of our own events, from sponsored events organised by others and via donations.
We have been working this year on raising funds through local events including jewelry sales, rose sales, local church and community sponsorship, sponsored runs, Waitrose charity of the month. It has been a slow year because of the economy although we are now hoping things will start to pick up again.
The Charity provides a building (the Social Centre) for the use of the local community, but mainly for older people.
