We operate a wheelchair accessible minibus belonging to the county council that can be used by community groups in the area.
Our charity is very small and exists to help individuals in hardship or need with such things as fuel costs during the winter, car repairs, domestic white goods, and items for helping with special needs. The area we cover is Alston Moor.
We are a group of disabled swimmers and their helpers (aged 10 to 95) from the local community who meet once a week at the University of Birmingham "Sport & Fitness" swimming pool. We have a session from 13.05 to 14.00 every Sunday in a 1.2 metre deep, 25 metre long pool. We have 2 lifeguards, poolside wheelchairs, hoists, steps and platforms to assist with entry and exit to and from the pool.
