Each week, we help young people aged 6 to 14 enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future. The aim of the scout association is to encourage the physical,mental and spiritual development of young people so that they may take a constructive place in society. We provide an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training.
The training of young people in teamwork and mutual respect. Activities include first aid,home safety, cooking and outdoor pursuits eg.football,swimming,camping, orienteering.

1st Mendlesham Scout Group is part of the Scout Association (UK) delivering activities to young people aged between six and eighteen years of age in four Sections; Beaver Scouts, Cubs Scouts, Scouts and Explorer Scouts. These activities enable our members to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
