THE GROUP IS A UNIT OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION.THE AIM OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION IS TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL INTELLECTUAL,SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS AS INDIVIDUALS.THE METHOD OF ACHIEVING THIS IS DONE BY PROVIDING AN ENJOYABLE AND ATTRACTIVE SCHEME OF PROGRESSIVE TRAINING BASED ON THE SCOUT PROMISE AND LAW GUIDED BY ADULT LEADERSHIP.

1st Llanelli Scout Group started in 1908 and provides scouting for boys and girls from 6 years of age through to 18.The latter is through the provision of Beaver scouts, Cub scouts, Scouts and Explorer Scouts.
As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. we encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the 1st Llangefni Scout Group gives young people of Llangefni the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.
To encourage children from the ages of 6 to 18 to work together as a team and to help in their community as well as within their sections.To also enjoy outdoor activities such as Kayaking, camping, bivvying, rifle shooting all with trained instructors.

We provide a balanced progressive programme of activities for boys and girls aged 6 to 14.5. We run 1 Beaver colonies, 1 Cub packs and a Scout Troop all meeting in our own hall in Tegfan Close Cardiff.

THE INSTRUCTION OF YOUNG PEOPLE OF ALL CLASSES IN THE PRINCIPLES OF DISCIPLINE, LOYALTY AND GOOD CITIZENSHIP.
To provide accomodation for the 1st Long Melford Scout and Guide groups by managing and maintaining the Headquarters building used by the individual groups. The building is also hired out to local community groups and for individual parties.
Providing facilities and meeting place so that scouting activities can be carried out.
Scout Association running meetings and events for youngsters, starting with Beavers, through Cubs and Scouts and finally Explorers.
