Aching Arms provides comfort teddy bears to parents whose baby has died during pregnancy, birth or infancy. They gift bears to parents via maternity health professionals and befriending groups in the UK. The bears are used to discuss support available to parents. The charity also leads awareness training for health professionals and hosts a telephone befriending service for bereaved parents.

Ackee provides medium to long term supportive shared and self contained accommodation to 21 single black women between the ages of 17 and 21, leaving care or otherwise vulnerable. Ackee supports the women to gain necessary skills for independent living, and offers counseling and advice on other aspects of life skills training, e.g. education, employment, budgeting etc.
Provision of outdoor activities including skiing, tubing, tobogganing, climbing, abseiling, canoeing, kayaking, bell boating, zip wires, fan descender, orienteering, bush craft, disc golf, axe throwing, team building & archery. School holiday club. Self catering 26 bed residential centre for overnight stays. Also manages the site as open space for community use.

ACA manages the Ackroyd Community Centre which is used by up to 20 Lewisham based organisations. The Centre hosts activities for children and parents with play and activities opportunities, a nursery, after school club, holiday play-schemes and parental support projects. It also hosts a range of educational and healthy lifestyle activities and manages the Elder People's Support Project.

We provide free access to a large range of books and information. We have 8 computers available for people to use during our opening hours. Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays 9am - 12noon. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 1pm - 6 pm.
We provide theraputic riding and carriage driving for adults and children with disabilities who can benefit from the activity-we have between 50 and 60 riders and drivers-we have 8 ponies-we rely solely on volunteer help but use a professional instructor for tuition.
