Acland Burghley Parent Teacher Association advances the education of Acland Burghley School pupils by organising activities that raise money to add value to the pupils' education and are beyond the normal school budget. We organise social events for parents, guardians, carers and/or pupils as well as teachers to build the school community.

The trust was set to advance the education of pupils at Acland Burghley School, by provision of facilities for the education at the school (not normally provided by the LA) and to engage in activities which support the school.

Money raised by the Club through a variety of events organised each year is used for the benefit of the local community, whether that be an individual, organisation or an institution serving a wider area which includes ours. The Acle and District Men's Shed provides a dedicated space where men and women aged 18 and overcan socialise, learn from each other and serve the local community through the engagement ofconstructive activities. These activities are often, though not exclusively, practical in nature such as woodworking and DIY skills, and involve working together on joint projects.

Provides a day centre, lunch club, transport to surgery, clinics, day centre, loan of equipment, wheel chairs etc.

The trustee applies the income of the charity for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Acle, Norfolk.

Provides pre school sessional day care with lunch available. Hours are from 9am - 3.30pm and twice a week from 8am to 5pm Mon to Fri term term. The charity maintains the upkeep of the village hall and arranges fund-raising events. These encourage participation by all and ensure a continual village environment. Events include :- Spring and Autumn fairs, beetle drives, quiz's, senior citizens xmas party and other occassional fund raising events.

Acomb Baptist Church provides opportunities for people to discover more about the Christian faith and also provides opportunities for them to express and explore that faith in through engaging in Christian worship. The Church also provides opportunities for Christian service to the local community, a practical way of expressing and applying faith in every day life.

To carry out fund raising activities in the Hexham, Northumberland area and then to make donations to further aid the development of children at Acomb County First School, Acomb, Northumberland.

Provide assistance and facilities for cerebral palsied multiple handicapped young adults and other disabled persons including the provision of accommodation, care,occupation and recreation.

Acorn Alternative Provision works in partnership with local churches, to deliver trauma-informed educational programmes and wrap-around support to young people who are facing exclusion or disengagement from mainstream school.

The objects of TLG Tendring are, for the public benefit, the advancement of education by such means as the trustees may consider appropriate, primarily in Tendring and the surrounding areas.

To preserve for the public benefit Acorn Bank Watermill, a Grade II* listed 19th Century watermill, located on the National Trust's Acorn Bank Estate at Temple Sowerby, Penrith, Cumbria CA10 1SP as a building of architectural and historical interest.

Acorn Chaplaincy's activities are aim to relieve persons in need and hardship by reason of addiction by the provisions of pastoral care and support ministries, such as Community Detoxification Program, running of Recovery Courses and mentoring. We also provide information to help dispel stigma and prejudices against people with addictions.
